What We Like...

The Ninja interface is a more simplified and easier to use version of the Instant Pot. Instead of duplicating functions, the Ninja breaks it down to a few simple basic options so you’re not overwhelmed. It also reduces the learning curve considerably, especially if you’ve never used a multi-purpose appliance before.
Pressurizes food incredibly fast. Really does deliver on the manufacturing claims. You can air fry and pressure cook in less than half the time it takes a conventional oven or stove. Even compared to the Instant Pot, the Ninja seems to outperform it in speed.
Bright LCD interface features an easy-to-read timer for added convenience.
An auto warm function to make sure you never burn your food or serve undercooked food ever again.
Even the manual is detailed, and the color cookbook with fifteen recipes makes this a really great gift idea as well.

Drawbacks…

At close to twenty three pounds, the Ninja OP101 Foodi 7-in-1 is a bit on the heavy side for a kitchen appliance. With the pressure cooker lid attached, it can take up a lot of real estate in a galley kitchen, for example, with narrow countertops. Needs some considerable clearance above as well for opening the pressure cooker lid.
The Release valve is an older-style mechanism for steam release instead of a push-button. It’s not terribly inconvenient but be careful with your fingers when venting hot steam.
Since the air fryer lid isn’t detachable, the unit can be quite unwieldy. There isn’t a locking mechanism to hold the lid in place either, which you’ll often find on an air-fryer. Not a big deal but worth noting.
Placing the lid face up on a flat counter after you remove it can actually be a bit tricky and awkward. There’s no side-mounted holder, as in the case of the Instant Pot, which saves space and is really handy to have.

We really could go on and on about the amazing performance and quality features of the Ninja OP101 Foodi 7-in-1. Affordably price in contrast to other models, this is one kitchen appliance you won’t regret investing in.

Drawbacks…

At only 36” inches, the cord could have been longer to make it easier to use.
Be careful when using the QuickRelease valve! This thing releases all that pressurized steam from the 8-qt inner pot in only about two minutes. If your fingers are near the vents in the lid, you will get seriously scalded! Stand back at arm’s length and flick the valve from the side.
Cooking with stainless takes practice. The learning curve is shortened thanks to the great presets, of course, but Instant Pot also gives you access to hundreds of recipes as well as tips.
If you want the extra parts that are needed (stainless steel steam rack with long handles and an extra sealing ring) they’re quite pricey.

FLOAT VALVE COVER: The tiny red float valve cover is very hard to remove when you need to clean the lid. It does not come off without a lot of force, so be careful or be prepared for bruised fingers!
RECIPE BOOK: Although it’s a nice idea, you may find the recipe book that’s included sorely lacking in detail. Several of the recipes require special accessories not included with the Instant Pot. That’s a bit annoying consider the price you’re paying. It would be much better if the recipe book had more detailed instructions and recipes you can actually use with the Instant Pot without purchasing additional accessories.
NO GLASS LID: It’s by no means a dealbreaker, but the pot lid isn’t glass, so you can’t see your food while it’s cooking. Of course, you can monitor the progress of your food on the LCD screen.

Overall, the Instant Pot Lux 6-in-1 is a great multi purpose kitchen appliance that does the job of six appliances in one. It doesn’t have the enhancements you’ll find in later Instant Pots but still compares favorably when it comes to quick and easy pressure cooking.

LARGE AND WIELDY: Weighing 20 pounds, the NESCO NPC-9 is a behemoth of a pressure cooker. Storing it, washing it by hand or loading it into your dishwasher is awkward at best.
LACKS A NON-STICK SURFACE: Despite what’s advertised in their marketing, the Nesco NPC-9 inner pot is definitely not a non-stick surface. You need to coat the interior with oil or food will stick, which is really annoying.
ALUMINUM STEEL: The aluminum construction eventually will show signs of wear and tear, and just doesn’t hold up as well as quality stainless steel.
FLIMSY LID CONNECTOR: While the canning function is impressive, the lid connector that comes with is an inferior grade plastic that’s quite flimsy.
NOISY TOUCH BUTTONS: If you use it late at night, you’ll likely wake up everyone in the house. It makes very audible beeping noises while you're setting it.

The NESCO NPC-9 Smart Pressure Canner and Cooker is a highly rated smart pressure cooker and canner that does what it’s supposed to do. Compared to some of the other top picks, it’s much more limited in functionality than a multi-cooker, but serves adequately as a steamer, pressure cooker, and slow cooker.

Ultimately, it’s not the best pressure cooker on the market, but if you need the extra large 9.5 quarts of cooking capacity, there are few pressure cookers of comparable size as reliable as the Nesco.
